Ryukyu horse racing has been going on for about 300 years since the Ryukyu Kingdom era before the war.

Unlike modern horse racing, where horses compete for speed at full sprints, Ryukyu horse racing was not just about speed, but also about the rhythm of the horse's leg movements, the beauty of its posture, and its elegance.

With the two racecourses (Hirara and Shikina) known as Naha's "Machi" (Magi) at its apex, horse racing was a familiar part of people's lives as a form of entertainment enjoyed by both adults and children. I wanted to convey that there was a wonderful culture that was wiped out by the war, so I designed it with the image of the scene from that time in mind.
